Known Issues in the Guild Wars Client on Mac
Open issues in ArenaNet's official Guild Wars client that also show up in GWonMac, and what you can do about each one now.
These are open issues in ArenaNet's official game client. GWonMac cannot fix them, but you can work around most of them. This list may not include a newly reported issue yet; check Discord for the latest discussion.
Some textures appear black or corrupted
Parts of a character, map, or effect can render as a flat black or broken area, for example in the ice dungeons of Eye of the North. Saved data is not affected.
What you can do: Press ⌘ Q in that game window and choose Reload Guild Wars. Only that account restarts; other accounts stay open.
The game can close after a long session
The official client can use at most 2 GB of memory. After many map changes or hours of play, it can reach this limit and close.
What you can do: Reload before a long run, or when the game starts to stutter: press ⌘ Q in that game window and choose Reload Guild Wars. Select Return to my character automatically to log back in to the same character.
Key labels show the next key
The Controls panel and menus name the wrong key for letters and numbers: a control on K reads L, and one on 1 reads 2.
What you can do: Nothing is needed. The key itself works correctly; only the label is wrong.
Adrenaline skill icons can flicker
Icons of adrenaline skills can flicker on the skill bar. This also happens in ArenaNet's phone app.
What you can do: Nothing is needed. The skills work normally.
The cursor keeps moving while you rotate your character
When you hold the left mouse button to turn your character's preview in the inventory, the cursor is not held in place and keeps moving across the screen.
What you can do: The preview still turns. Release the button to stop.
Antialiasing offers only "None"
The client has no antialiasing option yet; the phone app behaves the same way.
What you can do: Raise the render scale for a sharper picture.
